Students are enjoying using inch rulers to measure. We will also focus on centimeter measurement when learning about length for the first part of our measurement unit.

Congratulations to Grace who was awarded a medal for being one of this week's Olympians. Natalie and Natalia were our Fish Fry Friday recipients.

Valentines

Students will be making large valentine envelopes in art class tomorrow. We will use these to hold valentines brought to school by classmates. If you would like to send valentines for our party, please do so on or before February 13th. A class list will be sent home today. Thank you!

Solar System Inquiry Update

We have completed the first of four phases in the inquiry process. After the immersion phase, we are beginning the research phase. Our essential question to answer is: What are the important parts of the Solar System and how do they affect each other? Students selected one of the following areas to research; sun, moon, inner planets, outer planets, dwarf planets, or asteroids/meteorites/comets. Each group is gathering information to answer the essential question.
